SOMDC is a not for profit organisation, established in 2020 and registered with the Federal Ministry of Somalia.

We are a team of Somali and international subject matter experts that focus on sustainable efforts to increase knowledge and build capacity across key industry sectors in Somalia, that will enable sustained economic growth. 
Each team member, in each industry sector, has been selected based on their subject matter expertise and their genuine commitment to assist Somalia grow into a more prosperous nation.
Our focus is on the private sector as we believe that by improving the conditions for private sector growth, there will be long term sustainable employment prospects for Somali people.

Our specific goals at SOMDC is to:

1. Improve access to knowledge and information on an industry sector by sector basis
2. Be a vibrant organisation communicating with the private sector or the most relevant and necessary topic of the moment
3. Increase finance to industry sectors through improved knowledge and alignment to due processes
4. Increase jobs through aligning industry needs to employment demands
5. Increase incomes and employment across the value chain
